When it comes to aeration equipment there are two main camps; fountain manufacturers that do aeration products and aeration manufacturers that do fountain products. From a product perspective that doesn’t mean much but from a system design perspective it makes a big difference.

Fountains are used for decoration and they only need to look nice but aeration is a mix of science and engineering and getting it wrong can be expensive. Airolator are experts in aeration system design and since 1972 they’ve been manufacturing high quality aeration products in the USA for consumer, aquaculture and waste water treatment applications.

One of the best features of Airolator products is they’re made using easy to change components. These components allow you to switch from a high flow propeller to a high lift impellor using the same float, motor and cable. What does this mean? It means you can run the unit as an aerator for most of the time making the most of the water quality improvements that aeration provides; then when you want a more decorative effect you can easily change the unit into a decorative fountain.
